Learn about a variety of local Berkshire opportunities for artist residencies. These residencies allow individuals to focus working on their art or other projects while possibly engaging with the Berkshire community.

The series will highlight national and international opportunities for artist residencies. In particular, Sean Carroll of the Lower Manahattan Cultural Council will present ‘Workspace’ and ‘Swing Space’ projects. Adam Short’s presentation will include tips on choosing a residency and financing the stay.

Bring your past or current application to this interactive workshop to focus on how to create and restructure an application for competitive artist residencies. Examples of edits and improvements will be made. The workshop leaders will be Melanie Mowinski and Danielle Steinmann, both professors in the arts from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts as well as artist residency professionals.
